Terms of service

Last updated 21 September 2026

Bandana is operated by MandA Development. These terms cover both the pet care businesses who subscribe and the pet owners who book with them.

Messaging terms

Pet care businesses use Bandana to send appointment confirmations, reminders, "ready for collection" notices and report cards by text and email.

  • You receive texts only where you provided your number and agreed to them.
  • Message frequency varies with how often you book.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact the business directly.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping messages does not cancel your bookings. You can still book by phone or in person, and the business can still reach you the way they always did.

Who is responsible for what

The pet care business decides what to send and to whom, and is responsible for having permission to contact the people on its list. We provide the software, send on their behalf, and enforce opt-outs across every business on the platform.

Accounts

A business is responsible for who it gives access to and for what those people do. Tell us promptly if an account is being used by somebody who should not have it.

Subscriptions

Plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the period already paid for. Messaging allowances are set out on the pricing page.

Your data

A business's client list is theirs. It can be exported at any time, and what we do with any of it is set out in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Bandana may not be used to send messages to people who have not agreed to them, to send anything unlawful, or to evade a carrier's rules. Accounts doing so are suspended — an abusive sender puts every other salon's messages at risk, since carriers act against the platform rather than the tenant.
