Switching

Moving systems is the scary part. So we do it twice.

You have years of clients, pets, vaccination records and bookings already in the diary. Getting that across intact — and proving it came across — is the whole job.

What migration means here

Twice
a full rehearsal migration, then the real one — so nothing arrives untested.
Zero
days of downtime. You keep working in the old system until the day you switch.
Same day
answers from the people who built it, for your first few weeks.

How it goes

  1. We look at what you have

Every settings page, every daily routine, every report you actually run. Not a sales demo — a walkthrough of your real account, so nothing gets missed.

  2. We export your data

Clients, pets, contact details, notes, vaccinations, appointment history, future bookings, outstanding balances, packages and memberships.

  3. We run the migration as a rehearsal

Into a copy first. Then we count: how many clients, how many pets, how many future appointments, what the balances add up to. If the numbers do not match, it is not ready.

  4. You test it with your own staff

Your front desk books a real appointment, takes a real payment, sends a real report card. If any of it takes more steps than today, we fix it before you go live.

  5. We run it again, for real

A second full migration with the latest data, on a day you choose — usually a quiet one.

  6. We stay close afterwards

For the first few weeks, questions get answered the same day by the people who built it.

The things people ask first

Will I lose my appointment history?

No. Past appointments come across with the pet and client they belong to, so a groomer can still see what was done last time and what the dog was like.

What about bookings already in the diary?

They move too. Going live does not mean re-entering next month by hand.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. Numbers can be ported, and your clients keep texting the number they already have.

What happens to my booking link?

If you own the domain, booking moves onto it and the link you have printed and posted keeps working. If your current link belongs to your old system, we help you move people across before it stops.

Will my email break when the domain changes?

No. We never touch mail records, and we say so on screen before any DNS change. A broken inbox is not an acceptable cost of switching.

How long is it down for?

It is not. You keep working in the old system until the day you switch, and the second migration picks up everything that changed in between.
