Commission
Setting what each person earns on what they sell.
Settings → Commissions. Each person can have a rate, or bands that pay more as they sell more.
The three shapes
- A flat rate: the same percentage on everything.
- Sliding bands: passing a threshold pays the higher rate on the whole period’s total.
- Progressive bands: each band pays its own rate on the part that falls inside it.
The difference between sliding and progressive is real money. On 3,000 with "30% up to 2,000, then 40%", sliding pays 1,200 and progressive pays 1,000. Pick the one you actually run.
Three rules worth knowing before a payslip is queried
- Commission follows who DID the work, not who rang it up.
- Only paid invoices count. Commission on money that has not arrived is a loan dressed up as a wage.
- A service with its own override rate does not count towards the bands, or somebody reaches the top band by selling shampoo.
Pausing somebody
Pausing keeps the rates and stops the payments. Editing a rate does not restart a paused person — that is its own button, so a typo correction never quietly puts somebody back on the payroll.
