Plans and billing

What each plan includes, what counts against your texts, and changing plan.

Settings → Account shows your plan and your message usage for the current period. Settings → Subscription is where you change plan or manage your card.

What counts against your text allowance

Only the messages you send in BULK: automated reminders and mass texts. Those are the ones that scale with the size of your business, so those are the ones we count.

  • A reply you type to one client is never counted.
  • Automated reminders and mass texts are counted.

Answering a client should not cost you your allowance on a busy Saturday, which is why replies are free. The usage bar on Account tells you where you are before it starts to matter.

Changing plan

Settings → Subscription. Your first plan is chosen there and paid through our payment provider's checkout; the first month is charged when you subscribe, and it renews each month until you cancel. Once you are subscribed, switching plan is done through the "Change card, view invoices, or cancel" button on the same page. Moving down never deletes anything: features you no longer have are hidden rather than removed, and come back if you move up again.

More locations than your plan includes

Starter includes one location and Premium includes three. When you are using them all, the account owner can add another from Settings → Locations: $15 a month each on Starter, $5 a month each on Premium. It is added to your subscription straight away, and the first month is charged for the days left in it.

  • Only the account owner can add or stop a paid location, because it changes what the business pays.
  • It needs an active subscription. During the free trial, subscribe first.
  • Closing a location does not stop the payment by itself. When a location you pay for is not in use, Settings → Locations offers to stop paying for it, and the rest of the month is credited.
  • If you change plan, the locations you bought stay, at the new plan's price for each.

Referring another salon

Settings → Account → Refer a salon gives you a code and a link to send to another pet care business. They get fourteen days free instead of seven when they start with it. When they subscribe, one month of your own plan is taken off your next bill.

  • Nothing is credited for a signup alone. The credit comes after the salon you referred pays for its first month.
  • If you are still on your free trial when that happens, the credit waits and is applied once you subscribe.
  • It reduces your bill and is never paid out as cash. There is a limit of twelve credits in any twelve months.

Your card, invoices and cancelling

The "Change card, view invoices, or cancel" button takes you to our payment provider, where you can change your card, download your invoices or cancel. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and the Subscription page shows the date it ends. We never see or hold your card number.

The free trial

If you started on your own from our website, you have seven days free, with no card needed and nothing charged when they end. The whole product works from the first minute except texting your clients. Texts need three things: a plan you have subscribed to, your business registered with the phone carriers and its own texting number approved (Settings → Texting; it can take about a week or longer), and each client's agreement to receive texts.

If a trial runs out, nothing is deleted and you can still read everything. You just cannot make changes until you subscribe — your calendar stays readable on the morning it lapses.
