Money and reports
What came in, by day, by service and by person.
Insights answers what the business did. Money answers what actually arrived. They are different questions and different numbers, which is why they are different screens.
- Insights: what you sold — by service, by groomer, by day, with new against returning clients.
- Money: what was paid, by method, and what is still owed.
Cancelled appointments earn nothing
A cancellation or no-show is counted but earns nothing, and is shown separately as a lost rate. Counting them as revenue would flatter every figure you make a decision from.
Historical prices never change
A groom sold last year stays at last year’s price, even after you raise your prices. Reports read what was actually charged, not what you would charge today.

More on money
- Taking payment — Card, cash, or a card already on file.
- Keeping a card on file — Saving a card for next time, and charging it later.
- The cash drawer — Opening, counting and closing the cash drawer.
- Refunds — Giving money back, in part or in full.
- Chasing what you are owed — The overdue list, and charging several cards at once.
